A little Rocky

A little Rocky

Halle is having a rough weekend. She is back on the CPAP machine because she has a cold. It is probably a common cold for us, but it knocks her out. She seems like she is feeling better tonight. It is such a life threatening thing when these babies with chronic lungs get sick....she is such a fighter. They put her back on the steroid for a few days to see if that would help. We suction what seems to be gallons of snot out of her nose so she can actually have a chance of breathing. We spend most of our days over there because she is like any other 2 month old....she knows her mom and daddy and she wants us. It is such a great feeling....but so exhasting. Not just physically, but mentally. The worry is sometimes overwhelming. There just never seems to be a point where you can say, oh good, we are in the clear. The next several years are going to be sketchy. We just love her so much.

Halle is now 5 pounds 9 ounces. She is going to be 5 months old on the 21st. So crazy. Please pray for wisdom in our decisions and especially for our Home Health care that Halle will need when we get home. We may need to move to Washington for the next year or so. We just need to pray that God will open the doors where he wants us to be. Please specifically pray for Halles lungs, her cold, and the future decisions of the doctors. We are looking at only a couple of weeks until the doctor comes to look at her trachea again.

We are also asking for prayer for our good friend Cindy. I have talked about her and her angel baby Dreyden before. Dreyden passed away last weekend. It has been an especially hard week. We were able to be there all night with Cindy and share the intimate moments of her holding him in her arms as he went to heaven. We also got to go to Clarkston on Friday for his funeral. She was such an amazing mama to him. She spent six long months with him in Spokane and rarely missed a care time. I am asking that you pray for strength for Cindy and peace for her heart. She is going to need that in the coming months.

I am also asking that you pray for the families here that knew him. Its never easy to see a baby go to heaven much too soon in our eyes. It is scary that after six months its never a guarantee. Thank you too all of you who support us and the craziness of our lives.

So peaceful

Halle,
You keep fighting don't let this cold bug get you down. You keep growing so you can go home. This is the time for miracles and you already are one. You get your strength from your heavenly Father who gives His strength to mommy and daddy. There isn't a day goes by that we don't think and pray for you, mommy and daddy too! Nikki and Brian don't try to figure out all the details, God is in control and He already knows your needs. Take just one day at a time. I'll be praying for these requests. Merry 1st Christmas angel baby. We love you.
God be with you.
Love,
Auntie Karen and Uncle Leonard

A Christmas Angel

Dear Halle,
We wish you were ready to come home so we could be with you for Christmas. We know that your Heavenly Father will be watching over you, just as he has been since you were a twinkle in your mama's and daddy's eyes. You are precious and fragile, but you are also strong and a blessed miracle, so hang in there and be your parents' strength. We love you! So many people who love you, including us, are praying for you every single day!

Halle-You are such a sweetie

Halle-You are such a fighter! You can always manage a little smile even when you don't feel well! You make my day so bright when I see you and break my heart when you are sick. I love the way you look into your Mommy and Daddys eyes. Your love for each other is the best. I am praying for a miracle for your airway. I wish I could give you mine. Halle I believe you are our Miracle. Don't forget miracles only happen to those who believe. Merry 1st Christmas baby Halle you make our family so special! I love you so much! Your Meme

Merry First Christmas

Halle, Grandpa and I enjoyed our brief visit with you. It was so hard to leave you. We know just a little of how hard it is for your Mommy and Daddy to not be able to take you home. But only God knows when that will be. We continue to pray for you each and every day.
