No, Oli did not jump on the bounce castles. I think he was a touch overwhelmed by the chaos.

Mom, Brian, Nikki, and Halle came to visit me this past weekend. We spent Sunday walking around downtown Seatlle and introducing Halle to the beautiful flowers and ugly fish of the Pike St Market. After this we had lunch at the market where I showed Halle how to open her mouth as wide as possible (who got pictures of that?) and it was pretty funny. Good thing I am around to teach these kids important life skills...maybe Halle will win a pie contest one day with this one.

Hello to all our friends and family who faithfully check this site to keep tabs on us! You may notice some changes to our family blog: we have updated and upgraded and also changed it so that the Home Page now shows all our posts, jumbled together, chronologically starting with the most recent.

But wait, there's more! Thanks to a recent influx of thousands of off-color and unwelcome advertising spam comments on the site, we have had to change the way the comments work here. If you leave a comment while you are not logged in, it won't show up until we approve it. Since only a few of us have logins, we will really try to stay on top of this process so your comments show up as soon as possible, but sometimes it might take a day or two. Don't let this keep you from leaving comments though (unless you are a spammer, and then definitely let this keep you from leaving comments)! We love to know who has been here and what you think, and I know I'm not the only Longwell blogger who gets all giddy when I see someone has left a note here in my "journal." After all, keeping in touch with you wonderful people is sort of the whole point of this site, so let us know what you think and we will get your comments approved and published as quickly as we can!
